Okay. Im not gonna answer it on private as I usually do because me and my friend had some problems with it as well.
It took me a day and a half to place my order after Rainbow Rowell made the post about it. I talked about this special edition to EVERYONE because I love this book so freaking much and I want to make everyone read it and love it as well.
Before I placed my order I sent booksepository an e-mail explaining that the delivery usually takes 2 months, sometimes much more than that, to get where I live and asking if they, please, could send me the books (‘cause I was also ordering Landline) as soon as they got the books. They said that they couldn’t and they would send them on the launch day - but they told my friend who sent them a similar e-mail that when whey got the books they would start sending them.
I placed my order anyway because it’s a Fangirl special edition and the new Rainbow Rowell book! Who cares if I have to wait four months for them to get here, right?
After that I’ve waited. Until I saw at the bookdepository that they got the books and they would be sending them in a few days! I got so excited! Guess what happened? They couldn’t find my order. Then they stopped answering my e-mails. So I finally asked for my money back - and they did gave it back with a very short, and quite rude, note, like it was my fault.
So, yeah, I don’t want to buy it from bookdepository again, but a follower (Chloe! I cant remember your url babe im sorry) told me about other site with free shipping that’s selling the book as well!
So, Im the friend she was talking about. What happened to me was that at first they were answering my emails, they realized they screw up the pre order of Fangirl, and they were apologising. Only they clearly were ignoring the pre order people, because they kept getting stock of the book and sending to the people that were ordering now, and conveniently ‘forgetting’ the pre order. Which is a lie, since I’ve ordered Landlines with Fangirl and Landlines was dispatched earlier to me. Yesterday I received an email saying, and I quote “it appears we have had some difficulties in trying to obtain stock of this from our suppliers in the usual time period due. If you do not wish to continue with this, please advise and we may be able to cancel this providing it still hasn’t been dispatched.”
In other words: “Just cancel it already because the book wont be sent to you”. I can’t put in words how pissed off and upset I am right now. To make it worse, I logged on into Bookdepository and apparently, the book was dispatched today, only I dont have how to know if it really was or not.
JUST DONT BUY RAINBOW ROWELL’S BOOKS ON BOOKDEPOSITORY! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE COSUMERS/READERS! (actually, dont buy anything from them!)
Raibow herself told me on twitter she would not be tellig people to buy from them anymore. She knows they are no good.
